Clear information. No small surprises.
ClipBell Privacy Policy
Private by design. Everything stays on your computer. ClipBell keeps your topics, results and history in your browser, with no account or sign-up.
Who is responsible for ClipBell?
ClipBell is made by Tanishkha, a GST-registered business in India. Our business location is Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, India.
This policy explains the ClipBell extension and the separate support and payment choices described on clipbell.com and clipbell.app. For privacy questions, email support@clipbell.com.
What stays on your computer?
The ClipBell extension does not collect your personal data, topics, results or history. Your topics, results and history stay locally in your browser on your computer. Tanishkha never sees, collects or sells them.
No account is needed. There is no tracking, no analytics on your topics and no ads. The separate Pro licence check, voluntary support contact and payment processing are explained below.
What can the extension access, and why?
ClipBell uses browser access to find publicly available videos, save your list locally and show the alerts you choose.
- Web pages: ClipBell accesses publicly available pages it searches to find and match videos for your topics.
- Browser storage: ClipBell stores your topics, results, history and preferences in your browser on your computer.
- Notifications: ClipBell uses notification access for your chosen alerts. You can choose silent alerts, or Pro popup and daily digest alerts, with quiet hours and a sound toggle.
What do other websites receive?
ClipBell searches publicly available web pages directly from your browser, the same way you would. Those websites receive the web requests needed to provide their pages and apply their own privacy practices.
When you open a video, the website you visit handles your visit under its own terms and privacy policy. ClipBell only links to videos; it does not host or control them.
Does the optional AI send my topics to Tanishkha?
No. Optional on-device AI improves matching without sending data to Tanishkha, when your browser supports it.
This feature works on your device. It is optional and depends on browser support.
How do PIN locks protect my list?
ClipBell offers a PIN lock with auto-lock and a quick-lock keyboard shortcut. Pro also includes a master PIN for personal topics you want to keep to yourself.
Keep your computer and browser protected as well. A PIN controls access within ClipBell; it does not promise protection against every form of access to your device.
What happens during a Pro licence check?
A Pro licence key is checked to confirm paid access without sending any of your topics.
The licence check is separate from your locally stored topics, results and history.
Who handles payment details?
Pro payments are handled by Razorpay through its checkout.
You provide payment details to the payment provider. Tanishkha does not collect or store your full card details or UPI PIN. The provider handles payment information under its own privacy policy.
A transaction reference, payment status or receipt may be needed to provide Pro access, deal with a refund or meet applicable accounting duties. These purchase records are separate from your private topic list.
What if I email you or use the contact form?
If you contact us, you choose to share your email address, message and any name you provide. We use those details to respond to your request and resolve the issue you raise.
You do not need to send your topics, history, PIN or full payment details for a general support question. Support correspondence is separate from information saved inside the extension.
How long are records kept, and who can receive them?
Your extension data stays in local browser storage under your control. Tanishkha does not hold a central copy of your topics, results or history.
We keep support messages while dealing with your request and for any period needed to resolve a related dispute or meet a legal duty. Purchase records follow applicable accounting and record-keeping requirements. For details about service providers, website requests, retention periods or international transfers, email support@clipbell.com.
Where the GDPR applies, handling a service or purchase request relies on taking steps at your request or fulfilling a contract. Records required by law rely on a legal obligation. If an activity needs your consent, we ask for it and you can withdraw it.
What privacy choices and rights do I have?
You control the information stored in your browser. For information you voluntarily share with Tanishkha, you can contact support@clipbell.com with a privacy request.
Depending on the law that applies, your rights may include access, a copy, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent. You may also have a right to complain to the relevant data protection authority and, in India where applicable, to nominate someone to exercise your rights.
We will handle requests under the applicable provisions of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the GDPR where it applies, and other relevant law. We cannot retrieve a local topic list or history that we do not hold.
Is ClipBell intended for children?
ClipBell is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's personal data through the extension's video-tracking features.
This age statement does not replace higher age thresholds or parental-consent requirements under applicable law. A parent or guardian who believes a child has shared personal information with support can contact support@clipbell.com.
How will policy changes be shown?
The current policy will be available on this page with its effective date. Any material change to the handling described here will be explained in an updated notice.
